Our Board: Old & New Faces

I received a call yesterday from Kevin Hart, super excited about an opportunity for LifeXchange. Kevin who unfortunately had to resign as a director from the LifeXchange Board due to work commitments a few months ago, has been serving LifeXchange for over 5 years on the Board and contributed immensely. With great gratitude I reflected on our phone conversation, thinking about what a quality person he is…under no obligation to do anything for us, he continues to promote, advocate and believe in our cause! The LifeXchange board has always consisted of quality, skilled and excitied people. It’s thus with great sadness that we say goodbye to Kevin and with great excitement that I allow two new LifeXchange Board directors to introduce themselves:

Ina du Bruyn:

“As Chairperson of the Board of Directors I am committed to contribute to the governance of Lifexchange. It is a privilege to be associated with such a dedicated executive team who have already made significant changes in the lives of individuals. My experience as a retired business leader and consultant has enabled me to make a successful transition to being a business coach and mentor who facilitates organisational and personal development in fast-paced environments. I do a lot of reading and I enjoy the outdoors and a social game of golf.”

Mpumelelo Mlilo:

“In my capacity as a board member , I am mainly responsible for financial governance and compliance. I bring a wealth of institutional knowledge and experience from roles in Finance and Operations in both the private and NGO sector in a career spanning over 10 years. My role is to ask good financial questions about sustainability, compliance, audits and annual financial statements to ensure good financial health for the organisation. When I am not in the office, I love walking, cycling and participating in social entrepreneur forums and youth development initiatives. “

Through out July we will introduce Carien (HR & Governance), Donfrey (PR & Marketing) and Abram (Projects) to you, so make sure you follow us on twitter, Facebook and visit our blogs!

Have a fantastic month!
